COLUMBIA, SC (February 11, 2021) – A Lowcountry lottery player scratched off 11 words on a crossword ticket to win $75,000. She used one word to describe winning.
“Awesome,” she said.
The winner, who does not wish to be identified, told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she purchased the winning Mega Cash Crossword ticket from the Sky Mart on Sam Rittenberg Blvd. in Charleston.
“I’m going to enjoy it,” she promised lottery officials.
Sky Mart in Charleston received a commission of $750 for selling the claimed ticket.
The Charleston winner won $75,000 in the ($3) Mega Cash Crossword game at odds of 1 in 528,000. Three more top prizes remain in the game.
