COLUMBIA, SC (June 12, 2020) – You could say peer pressure led a Columbia woman to a $250,000 lottery win.
Her friends were buying tickets, so she decided to take a chance of her own. And it paid off.
“My mind was blown,” she said.
She scratched off a quarter-of-a-million-dollar win on a $10 scratch-off at the Piney Xpress store on Piney Woods Rd. in Columbia.
“I was lucky,” she admitted.
The Midlands winner overcame odds of 1 in 780,000 to win the last top prize of $250,000 in the ($10) Maximum Money game.
Now she’s in the market for a new home.
Piney Xpress in Columbia received a commission of $2,500 for selling the claimed ticket.
