COLUMBIA, SC (December 10, 2020) – A Rock Hill man’s $1 million lottery win has him feeling stress free today.
“It’s made life a lot easier,” the millionaire told South Carolina Education Lottery officials, who caught up with him after cashing in his winning ticket.
The winner, who did not wish to be identified, says he sat down at home and scratched the Double Your Million! ticket he’d purchased from the Mount Gallant Express on Mount Gallant Rd. in Rock Hill. At first he didn’t believe what he was seeing.
“I thanked the Lord,” he said. “This has changed my life.”
The Rock Hill winner overcame odds of 1 in 1,760,000 to win the second top prize of $1 million in the $10 Double Your Million! game. One top prize remains in the game.
Mount Gallant Express in Rock Hill received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
