COLUMBIA, SC (February 10, 2020) – Three old golf buddies in Kershaw County are sharing a $200,000 lottery prize.
The fellows, who did not wish to be identified, won playing Palmetto Cash 5.
Their ticket matched all five numbers drawn on Tuesday, February 4 (23 - 26 - 31 - 35 - 38).
Because they spent the extra $1 for Power-Up, their $100,000 winnings were doubled to $200,000 when a “2” multiplier was selected.
The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 1,003,884.
For selling the claimed ticket, Gate Petroleum Co. #325 in Camden received a commission of $2,000.
The South Carolina Education Lottery is on a quest to uncover “tiny” lottery winners. Share your Tiny Story of winning maybe $25, $500, $1,000 or more with us at TellYourTinyStory.com.
