COLUMBIA, SC (January 16, 2020) – A Greenville man’s intuition paid off, winning him $250,000.
“All day something was telling me to buy a lottery ticket,” he told lottery officials this week.
But he almost didn’t.
The winner says it had been a busy day, it was getting late, and he wanted to go home. But he stopped in anyway at the 7 Eleven on Main St. in Pelzer to buy a $10 scratch-off ticket.
He says he went home a happy and blessed man.
“I put the ticket in the Bible,” he said.
Seven top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $250,000 Spectacular Extra Play game, at odds of 1 in 750,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, 7 Eleven #36854H in Pelzer received a commission of $2,500.
