COLUMBIA, SC (July 16, 2018) – A grandfather and grandson’s tradition of playing the Lottery together might have come to an end.
The fellas were scratching tickets they’d bought at David’s Grocery on S. Main St. in McColl when the grandson scratched off the last number on his ticket and won $250,000.
Grandpa’s reaction: “He got mad and walked out of the store,” said the grandson.
He’ll forgive his grandson when he hears his plans for the prize money.
“I’m going to help my family,” he said.
He won playing the ($10) $250,000 Bonus Cash game. Two top prizes of $250,000 remain in the game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, David’s Grocery in McColl received a commission of $2,500.
