COLUMBIA, SC (April 8, 2015) – Triple 2s were drawn by the South Carolina Education Lottery last night to the delight of 6,500 plus Pick 3 players.

Depending on the price paid for the ticket, these winners took home either $250 or $500 per play. The odds of winning are 1 in 1,000.

The Pick 3 prize payout eclipsed $1.6 million, six times the Lottery’s sales for the April 7 evening draw, which amounted to just over $250,000.

The triple number combination is hands down the Lottery’s most played sequence, with this drawing producing ten times the number of winners compared to the previous day’s draw.

This marks the tenth time 2 – 2 – 2 has been drawn by the Lottery. The last time 2 – 2 – 2 was seen was back in June of 2013.

Winning Pick 3 tickets worth up to $500 can be cashed at lottery retailers statewide.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing in which to claim their prizes.

Winners should always sign the back of their ticket first to safeguard their prize.
