COLUMBIA, SC (October 3, 2022) – A Lowcountry man won $200,000 after changing his mind and buying a different lottery ticket.
“Something told me to grab that ticket instead,” he said of his decision not buy the lottery ticket he walked in the Circle K store on Hwy. 17 N. in Mount Pleasant to get and instead choosing the new $5 Power Play game.
He says the first number he scratched off won him $200,000, and he didn’t believe it.
“Whoa,” he told himself.
And he’s not going to be in any rush to spend the windfall.
“I’m going to save it for now,” he said.
His win leaves two top prizes remaining in the Power Play game at odds of 1 in 660,000.
Circle K #2720873 in Mount Pleasant received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
