COLUMBIA, SC (March 18, 2022) – Friday is an Upstate man’s lucky day.

Fridays after work he plays the Lottery and recently snagged a $200,000 win.

He won the cash on a $5 scratch-off he picked out at the Garden Spot #4 on E. Lee Rd. in Taylors.

“It was kind of cool,” the winner admitted to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

As for his plans for the windfall, he is saving it for retirement.

“I’m still going by the store on Friday and getting a ticket,” he said. “I feel almost greedy about doing it. But it would be nice to win again.”

The win leaves two top prizes remaining in the $200,000 Bonus Bucks game at odds of 1 in 900,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Garden Spot #4 in Taylors received a commission of $2,000.
