COLUMBIA, SC (October 14, 2021) – A Midlands woman is taking an overdue vacation and a $300,000 lottery win is paying for the trip.

Her destination is unknown, but the winner gave us a hint. “I’m going somewhere warm,” she said.

The Columbia player told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she paid $10 for her winning ticket at the Speedway #02859 at 271 Harbison Blvd. in Columbia, and scratched it while sitting in the car.

“I was speechless,” she said when the top prize was hers. “I going to do some things I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, starting with a vacation.”

The win leaves three more $300,000 prizes remaining in the ($10) $300,000 Super Cash game at odds of 1 in 900,000.

Speedway #02859 in Columbia received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
