COLUMBIA, SC (May 11, 2021) – An Easley lottery winner wants to be his own boss after winning $300,000.
“I’ve wanted to start my own business for a long time,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “And this win gives me the opportunity to do that and to be able to offer my family jobs.”
He was on his way to work when he bought the $10 ticket at the Dacusville Farmers Market Inc on the Dacusville Hwy. in Easley. He left the ticket in his car and didn’t scratch it until later that evening when he met up with some friends.
“I just sat there in shock,” the winner said. “My friends reacted for me. They were screaming, congratulating me and saying how awesome it was.”
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 780,000 to leave three top prizes of $300,000 remaining in the $10 Mega Bucks game.
Dacusville Farmers Market Inc. in Easley received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
