COLUMBIA, SC (May 24, 2021) – A Marion lottery player walked out of the 76 Express at 2207 E. Hwy. 76 $50,000 richer than he walked in.
He won the cash on a $2 Jumbo Bucks ticket that he scratched inside the store and didn’t want anyone to know the result.
“I put the ticket in my pocket and quietly left the store,” the winner, who does not wish to be identified, told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
He says he hasn’t raise any eyebrows with his win, but his first purchase might change that. He’s spending his prize money on a new car.
“It’s great!” he said.
Five top prizes of $50,000 remain in the $2 Jumbo Bucks instant ticket game at odds of 1 in 600,000.
76 Express in Marion received a commission of $500 for selling the claimed ticket.
