COLUMBIA, SC (June 18, 2026) – A Bennettsville lottery player says she didn’t believe what she was seeing when she scratched a $2 lottery ticket and won $30,000.
“I had to look at the ticket 10 times,” she said.
The winner told lottery officials that she was on her way home when she dropped by the Corner Cupboard convenience store on W. Calhoun St. and decided to get a ticket. She scratched off the top prize win sitting in her car in the store’s parking lot.
“I was thinking oh my gosh, oh my gosh,” she said. “It was so exciting.”
“It was my day,” she said.
One more top prize of $30,000 remains in the $2 Triple 333 game at odds of 1 in 576,000.
Corner Cupboard #9 in Bennettsville received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
