COLUMBIA, SC (June 6, 2024) – A Pee Dee man left work early to go cash in a $300,000 lottery win.
He was at work when he scratched off the big payday. “I was more than shocked,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I told my manger I had to leave.”
He drove straight to the Lottery’s Columbia Claims Center and turned the ticket in. He is planning to put the winnings aside to help his family.
“I’m still working,” he said.
Two more top prizes of $300,000 remain in Cash Payout game at odds of 1 in 984,000.
Dev’s Liquors in Florence received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
