COLUMBIA, SC (July 9, 2026) – An Horry County lottery winner has already spent a chunk of his $664,000 jackpot win.
“I paid off the house,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials this week. “It’s unbelievable.”
He says he was surprised when a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket, a quick pick, he bought at the Sai Tobacco & Beverage store on Hwy. 9 in Longs matched all five numbers drawn to win a $664,000 jackpot on June 18.
After cashing in the winning ticket, he immediately paid off his house.
“I’m so happy,” he said.
For selling the claimed ticket, Sai Tobacco & Beverage LLC in Longs received a commission of $6,640.
The odds of winning a Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668.
