Midlands Woman’s Itchy Palm a Sign of Fortune to Come

5/24/2024 9:36:00 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (March 24, 2024)Just like the superstition says, an itchy palm signaled a Midlands woman’s lucky day when she played the Lottery and won $30,000.

“My hand was itching a lot,” she told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

So she decided to buy a $2 ticket at the Walmart Fuel Station at 337 Pinewood Rd. in Sumter. When she scratched it in her car, she asked herself “Is it true? Is it true?” She believes it now that she’s cashed in the winning ticket.

But she still unsure how she’s going to spend the prize money. “I don’t have any plans for it yet,” she said.

With the last top prize of $30,000 claimed, the 20X The Cash game has ended. The Sumter player overcame odds of 1 in 720,000 to win a top prize.

Walmart Market #377 Fuel in Sumter received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
