“It’s about time,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
After years of playing the same numbers in the Palmetto Cash 5 game, she says it was incredible to see all five of them finally match on a ticket she purchased from Cuz’s Corner on S. Congress St. in Winnsboro.
“It was unreal,” she said.
And she says what made it even better was how high the Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot that starts at $100,000 and climbed. The prize had rolled 23 times to more than half-a-million dollars when she captured it.
As for her plans for that windfall, she’s going to invest it.
For selling the claimed ticket, Cuz’s Corner in Winnsboro received a commission of $5,070.
The odds of winning a Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668.
