COLUMBIA, SC (February 19, 2026) – A Feeling Lucky scratch-off bought in the Lowcountry lived up to expectations.
A player at the Hop In on Highmarket St. in Georgetown says it was their lucky day when they dropped by the store and decided to take a chance on the $10 lottery ticket.
And that ticket surprised them with a $500,000 windfall.
“It’s not the kind of money you see every day,” the winner, who does not wish to be identified, admitted to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
The Lowcountry winner claimed the last top prize of $500,000 in the Feeling Lucky game at odds of 1 in 1,500,000.
Hop In in Georgetown received a commission of $5,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
