COLUMBIA, SC (September 27, 2019) – An Oconee County woman padded her nest egg with a $250,000 South Carolina Education Lottery win.
“I work hard,” the winner told lottery officials in Columbia. “Maybe I won’t have to work quite so hard now.”
The winner, who did not wish to be identified, is saving her prize money off a 10s to Win scratch-off to enjoy when retirement rolls around.
“It’s very exciting,” she said. “I took today off from work.”
Five top prizes of $250,000 remain in the ($10) 10s to Win game, at odds of 1 in 780,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Kash & Karry in Seneca received a commission of $2,500.
