COLUMBIA, SC (February 17, 2016) – A Lancaster grandma scratched off a $100,000 lottery win while waiting in the car line to pick up her grandkids from school.
When the grandkids hopped in, they headed straight to Columbia to cash in the winning ticket.
“I told them I’d take them shopping,” said the winner, who hasn’t told her own children yet. “But first, I’m going to give to the church to help somebody else.”
Two top prizes of $100,000 remain in the $5 The Money Game ticket, at odds of 1 in 480,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Midway Grocery in Lancaster received a commission of $1,000.
