No Winner Yet, $1 Million Powerball® Ticket Sold in Myrtle Beach Remains Unclaimed

COLUMBIA, SC (June 29, 2015) – The owner of a $1 million Powerball® ticket sold in Myrtle Beach remains a mystery. The ticket, sold earlier this month by the Scotchman 3225 at 4101 Postal Way, is still unclaimed.

Store Manager Napifa Ashley says curiosity is running high at the store off Hwy. 501 in Carolina Forest. Customers keep asking if she has seen or heard from the winner, but she hasn’t.

Ashley’s best guess: “They probably don’t have a clue they have the ticket.”

So if you purchased a Powerball® ticket from the Scotchman 3225 for the drawing on Saturday, June 6, check your tickets. The winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers drawn but missed the red Powerball® number. The winning numbers were 8, 13, 18, 27, and 43, and the Powerball® number was 15.

The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the $1 million prize.

The Lottery’s message to the winner: Sign the back of your ticket, keep it in a safe location, and for your safety, be careful who you tell of your win.

The odds of winning $1 million are 1 in 5,153,633.

The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball® drawing is $60 million.
