COLUMBIA, SC (August 21, 2015) – A Hilton Head Island retailer sold a lottery ticket worth $500,000 for Thursday’s Palmetto Cash 5 drawing. The ticket was sold at the Station One at 1 Palmetto Pkwy. on Hilton Head Island.
The Palmetto Cash 5 ticket matched all five numbers drawn to win the $100,000 top prize. Because the ticket holder “Powered-Up” for an additional $1, the $100,000 top prize was multiplied to $500,000 when a five was drawn.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
