4/20/2015 8:53:41 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (April 20, 2015) – $1 MILLION is waiting for a South Carolina Education Lottery player, but time is quickly running out to collect.

The deadline to redeem the ticket is this Thursday, April 23.

So if you bought a Powerball® ticket back in October from the Phoenix Mart at 2698 W. David McLeod Blvd. in Florence, you should check your ticket.

The winning ticket matched all five white ball numbers but missed the red Powerball® number for the drawing on Saturday, October 25. The winning numbers were 6, 10, 51, 54, 57, and the Powerball® number was 12.

The winner must come in person to the Lottery’s Columbia Claims Center at 1309 Assembly St. by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 to allow time for verification.

If a winner fails to come forward, this will become the largest prize to go unclaimed in the South Carolina Education Lottery’s history. The $1 million prize will go to fund education in South Carolina.

The current record is $825,000 for an unclaimed ticket purchased in Belton in 2009.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. For complete information on claiming prizes, visit sceducationlottery.com.

The odds of winning a $1 million Powerball® prize are 1 in 5,153,633.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
