Good Deeds Rewarded with $100,000 Lottery Win

3/1/2013 1:06:01 PM

COLUMBIA, SC (March 1, 2013) – An Aiken woman won $100,000 playing the Lottery this week.

Her children are convinced the win is a sign good deeds are rewarded.

“She does a lot of good for people, a lot of good,” her son said, describing how his mom always helps those in her community that need it most.

“I’d rather help people than hurt them,” the winner admitted.

She said something told her to go out and buy a Carolina Riches 10th Edition ticket. When the first retailer she stopped at didn’t have one, she found what she was looking for at the Four Seasons Service #108 on Whisky Rd.

As expected, she’s not keeping the prize money.

“I’m giving it to my kids,” she said. “I really am lucky.”

As of this release, one top prize of $100,000 remains in the $5 Carolina Riches 10th Edition game. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 480,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Four Seasons Service #108 in Aiken received a commission of $1,000.

To date, lottery play has resulted in $3 BILLION transferred to support education.
