COLUMBIA, SC (September 8, 2023) – On a whim, a Hilton Head Island man bought a $5 lottery ticket and ended up winning $200,000.
“It was cool,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
He says he picked out the winning ticket at the Circle K at 825 William Hilton Pkwy. on Hilton Head Island. He took the ticket home to scratch it and was stunned by what he saw.
“I had to look at it a couple of times,” he admitted.
As for his plans for the cash, he says he going to save a little and travel a little too.

Circle K Stores #8100 in Hilton Head Island received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
