“It was breathtaking,” she said of the win. “But there was a moment of ‘Dang, I was so close.’”
She won $30,000. But, if she’d matched just one more number, an $830 million jackpot would have been hers on the night of Tuesday, July 26 (7, 29, 60, 63, 66 and MB 15). Her Mega Millions® ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the gold Megaball® number at odds of 1 in 931,001.
“I don’t play often, and I never expected to win,” she of the ticket she purchased at the Power Trac #3 on the Long Creek Hwy. in Westminister. “This is great.”
For selling the claimed ticket, Power Trac #3 in Westminster received a commission of $300.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions® jackpot is an estimated $231 million. Ticket can be purchased for $2 at most convenience stores and grocery stores in our state. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 303 million.
