COLUMBIA, SC (July 18, 2023) – For only the third time, Powerball® has delivered a $1 BILLION jackpot. If won Wednesday night, the winner can choose a cash payout of $516 million.
Wednesday will mark the 39th drawing in this jackpot run that began in April. The longest stretch before a winner is 41 draws.
In Monday’s drawing two South Carolina tickets came up one number short.
A Powerball® ticket with PowerPlay®
worth $200,000 was sold at the Hot Spot #1201 on W Main St. in Easley, and a Powerball® ticket worth $50,000 was sold at the Mit Food Mart on W. Georgia Rd. in Simpsonville.
Tickets for tomorrow’s $1 BILLION jackpot are available at lottery retailers
statewide. Tickets cost $2, and in South Carolina must be purchased by 9:59
p.m. for the 10:59 p.m. drawing. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1
in 293 million.
