COLUMBIA, SC (April 21, 2023) – At a family birthday dinner, one of the guests surprised everyone when she scratched a lottery ticket and won $200,000.
“It was life changing,” said the winner. “Everybody wanted to look at the ticket.”
The Midlands player bought the scratch-off earlier that day at the Wilsons II Inc. convenience store at 920 Main St. in Little Mountain. She says she forgot about the ticket until dinner and decided to scratch it at the table. And she’s already made plans for the prize.
“I’m going to give back and help others,” the winner said.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 750,000 to win $200,000 in the 50X game that has two more top prizes available.
Wilsons II Inc. in Little Mountain received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
