COLUMBIA, SC (May 10, 2022) – A Midlands woman got an early birthday present when she played the Lottery and won $200,000.
“It was a pretty good birthday gift,” she admitted to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
The winner also confessed that she almost didn’t buy the ticket but then changed her mind.
It was the day before her birthday, and she couldn’t decide if she really wanted to spend $5 on a lottery ticket at Cuz’s Corner on S. Congress St. in Winnsboro. But she went ahead and picked out the $200,000 Windfall scratch-off anyway. She is glad she did.
Today the birthday girl is debt free.
Two more top prizes remain in the $200,000 Winfall game at odds of 1 in 720,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Cuz’s Corner in Winnsboro received a commission of $2,000.
