COLUMBIA, SC (September 27, 2022) – A Lowcountry woman’s lottery numbers were doubly lucky, winning her $100,000 and $300.
She won both prizes playing Palmetto Cash 5. She noticed the $100,000 win on the ticket first.
“I was so excited,” she told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I’ve been playing for a long time.”
She purchased the winning ticket from the Circle K at 320 Meeting St. in Charleston for the drawing on September 5 (3, 6, 9, 19, and 32).
On one row she matched all five numbers to win a $100,000 Palmetto Cash 5 top prize. She played four of those numbers again, changing only one, on another line on the ticket to win $300.
The winner is spending the prize on a home remodel.
For selling the claimed ticket, Circle K #2705124 in Charleston received a commission of $1,000.
The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.
