COLUMBIA, SC (December 9, 2022) – An Upstate mom has given her two sons an early Christmas present. She split a $300,000 lottery win with them.
She won the cash on a scratch-off ticket in November, and the Lottery spoke with her about it this week.
“I haven’t bought the first thing for myself,” she confessed. “Not yet.”
She says she was with one of her sons when she purchased the ticket at the Power Trac #13 on 1701 Pearman Dairy Rd. in Anderson. Her son scratched it.
“He screamed,” she said.
Mom was shocked too, but the kids weren’t surprised by her generosity.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 900,000 to win $300,000 in the Cash Bonanza game. Two more top prizes remain on the ticket.
Power Trac #13 in Anderson received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
