COLUMBIA, SC (April 14, 2025) – A Lowcountry lottery player did something he has never done before.
“I talked to my ticket,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I said, ‘Come on, I need a good one.’”
And his $2 scratch-off responded with a $50,000 win.
When he saw the top prize, he hopped up from his chair screaming.
“It was amazing,” he said. “I was ecstatic.”
His wife and kids felt the same way when he told them he was going to share the prize with them.
Three more top prizes of $50,000 remain in the Jumbo Bucks game at odds of 1 in 600,000.
Blue Water #1 on Bowman Rd. in Mount Pleasant received a commission of $500 for selling the claimed ticket.
