No Winner, Saturday’s Powerball® Jackpot is $415 MILLION

5/5/2016 10:16:03 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (May 5, 2016) – The Powerball® jackpot continues to climb with Saturday night’s drawing worth $415 million, the game’s seventh largest. Are we on the verge of another billion-dollar jackpot run?

We’ll know soon enough. If no one wins this weekend, and that trend holds for one or two more drawings, we could be looking at another 10-digit jackpot.

You’ll recall the year started with an unprecedented run that culminated with a $1.5 billion jackpot won on January 13. It took 20 drawings to reach that record mark. The current jackpot has rolled 18 times since March 2.

“Jackpot runs are always incredibly exciting for our players,” said SC Lottery Executive Director Paula Harper Bethea. “But what we don’t want to see is our players buying more tickets than they should. Listen, it only takes one ticket to win. So please, play smart and play responsibly.”

South Carolinians looking to take a chance on the $415 million jackpot with a cash payout of $269 million, must purchase $2 Powerball® tickets by 9:59 p.m. for Saturday’s 10:59 p.m. drawing.

Good luck, South Carolina! Please play responsibly.
