$250,000 Mega Millions® Ticket Sold at “Obama Gas Station” in Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC (September 9, 2013) – Luck has once again struck at the “Obama Gas Station” in Columbia where a winning Powerball® ticket worth $2 million was sold in April of 2012, a Mega Millions® ticket worth $250,000 was sold in July 2012, and a second $250,000 winning Mega Millions® ticket was sold for Friday night’s drawing.

The ticket sold at Alhanik, LLC, known around town as the “Obama Gas Station,” at 5831 N. Main St. in Columbia matched all five white ball numbers drawn. Had the ticket holder purchased Megaplier® for an extra $1, the $250,000 prize would have been $1 million.

Check your tickets. More than 6,400 players in South Carolina hold tickets for prizes from $2 up to $250,000. Of these, more than 2,000 players paid the extra dollar to purchase Megaplier®. When claimed, these players will see their prize winnings multiplied by 4, the Megaplier® number drawn. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
