COLUMBIA, SC (November 22, 2024) – In the middle of the night, an Upstate woman scratched a lottery ticket and won $300,000.
“I thought, ‘Am I dreaming?” she wondered.
The winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she woke up at one o’clock and remembered the ticket she had bought at DD’s Food Mart on Arthur Blvd. in Union. She scratched off a top prize win and didn’t get much sleep after that.
“I got up and went to work as normal,” she said. “And, I didn’t tell anyone.”
Now she’s dreaming of a new home.
The odds of winning $300,000 playing Wild Cash Multiplier Extra Play are 1 in 740,000. One more top prize remains in the game.
DD’s Food Mart #3 in Union received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
