COLUMBIA, SC (February 28, 2025) – A Conway woman has won $50,000 on a $2 lottery ticket she brought home from the grocery store.
“I’ll never forget that day,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials, after cashing in the win.
She says she ran in the Food Lion on 4th Ave. in Conway to grab a few things when the lottery tickets caught her eye. She decided to get one. The last number on the Jumbo Bucks ticket she picked out revealed the five-figure win.
“I threw my hands up,” she said. “It seems like a dream.”
Five more top prizes of $50,000 remain in the Jumbo Bucks game at odds of 1 in 600,000.
Food Lion #1599 in Conway received a commission of $500 for selling the claimed ticket.
