COLUMBIA, SC (June 27, 2023) – A Midlands woman’s sticking with her lottery numbers after they won her a $200,000 prize.
“It’s a relief,” she said.
Her numbers 4, 5, 6, 11 and 36 were lucky ones in the Palmetto Cash 5 drawing on June 8. She bought the winning ticket with Power-Up at the Sharpe Shoppe #2 at 235 Blythewood Rd. in Blythewood.
She told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she’s been playing those numbers for years, occasionally matching a few here and there for a small win, but couldn’t believe it when they all matched for a six-figure payday.
“I’m still going to play them,” she promised.
For selling the claimed ticket, Sharpe Shoppe #2 in Blythewood received a commission of $2,000.
The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 878,399.
