COLUMBIA, SC (August 4, 2023) – An Aiken lottery player was in a hurry when she took a chance on a ticket.
She didn’t scratch the whole card, just the bottom bar code and scanned it. The message the ticket checker returned at the Richland Express on Richland Ave. W. in Aiken caused her to slow down.
“It told me to claim it at the Lottery,” she said. “So I started scratching the entire ticket, and the last number was the big win.”
She’d won $300,000.
She says she spent the weekend thinking about what to do with the prize money. And today she’s debt free with extra money in savings.
Four top prizes of $300,000 remain in the $10 Black Diamond Dazzler game at odds of 1 in 840,000.
Richland Express in Aiken received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
