COLUMBIA, SC (June 8, 2023) – An Upstate woman has her grandson to thank for her $300,000 lottery win.
Her grandson asked her to stop at the KP Foodmart on E. River St. in Anderson. And to make him happy, she did. While in the store grandma decided to play the Lottery.
“I was sitting down at home, scratching the ticket I bought and all of sudden there it was,” she said of the windfall. “I started screaming.”
The winner told lottery officials that she’s always wanted to start her own business, and this win could make that happen.
Three more top prizes of $300,000 remain in the $10 Multiplier Surge game at odds of 1 in 900,000.
KP Foodmart in Anderson received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
