COLUMBIA, SC (March 16, 2022) – A North Charleston lottery winner isn’t packing moving boxes just yet, but she is a step closer to buying her dream home.
A $100,000 win on a scratch-off ticket will help that dream take root. And while the win isn’t enough to outright buy her the new house she wants, it means it’s eventually going to happen.
“I still can’t believe it,” the winner, who does not wish to be identified, told lottery officials a week after collecting the prize money won off a THE BIG $PIN® ticket. She says it didn’t feel real when she scratched the ticket or even after she received the check for her winnings.
“It hasn’t sunk in yet,” she said. “I don’t know what I did to deserve it, but it’s wonderful.”
Dorchester Crossing Liquor Store on Dorchester Rd. in North Charleston received a commission of $1,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
Two prizes of $100,000 remain in THE BIG $PIN® game at odds of 1 in 1,350,000.
