COLUMBIA, SC (December 15, 2022) – A Lowcountry woman got a second and then a third opinion to confirm that she won $100,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery.

“I wasn’t sure if I actually won,” the winner told lottery officials.

She counted 11 words that matched for a win on her $3 Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword ticket, but she had doubts. To be sure she asked her son to recount the words and then asked her sister-in-law to add them up too. Her family all agreed she won big.

“I’d never won anything big before,” she confessed.

But her luck changed at Big T’s at 402 Saint James Ave. in Goose Creek. There she picked out the next to last top prize winning crossword ticket and beat the 1 in 600,000 odds to win $100,000. She’s treated herself to a new car and helped others by giving to her church and charity.

For selling the claimed ticket, Big T’s in Goose Creek received a commission of $1,000.
