COLUMBIA, SC (April 27, 2022) – A Lowcountry lottery player says he was feeling lucky when he bought a ticket and won $2 MILLION, the largest top prize possible on a South Carolina Education Lottery scratch-off.

There were two people he couldn’t wait to tell.

“I called my parents,” he told lottery officials.

The winner told his folks first about the Instant Millions ticket he picked out at the Ashley Mobile store at 3617 Ashley Phosphate Rd. in North Charleston that changed his life.

“I’m going to start my own business,” the millionaire said.

The Lowcountry player overcame odds of 1 in 2,640,000 to win $2 million in the Instant Millions game. One more top prize remains in the game.

Ashley Mobile in North Charleston received a commission of $20,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Players can enter their non-winning ($10) Instant Millions tickets into a second-chance drawing for a chance to win $2 million. For complete details on the Instant Millions Second-Chance Promotion, please visit sceducationlottery.com.
