COLUMBIA, SC (April 6, 2022) – An Upstate woman went to buy some candy and came home with an even sweeter purchase, a lottery ticket that won her $375,000.
She says she scratched the Mighty Jumbo Bucks ticket that she picked out at the Mudra convenience store on Scenic Plaza Dr. in West Union in her kitchen. When she saw the word “JUMBO” with a prize of $75,000 underneath, she showed the ticket to her family. And they pointed out the directions said her prize was five times that amount. She quickly did the math.
“I was running through the house screaming,” the $375,000 winner said.
When she caught her breath, she signed her name to the back of her winning ticket and has since cashed in the win.
“Now I can buy a lot of candy,” she joked.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 960,000 to leave seven top prizes of $375,000 remaining in the $10 Mighty Jumbo Bucks game.
Mudra in West Union received a commission of $3,750 for selling the claimed ticket.
